Recharging…

I’ve discovered that Redbot needs downtime to recharge from time to time, especially after a Redbot hunt and all the activities of October and Early November.

While Redbot has been recharging I’ve been working on other projects, including some audio and video work.

Here’s a piece I posted just a couple of days ago on YouTube and onehumanbeing.com.

This is a sound collage visualscape I created last week called Area 5150 — The UFO Take Over Mix

What is a sound collage visualscape?

A “sound collage” is like a paper collage, but using audio samples, synthesizers, drum tracks and other audio material to create a new work — not a “song” necessarily — but something like an auditory adventure, out of various found materials.

A “visualscape” is a video mix of shapes, colors, found video images, animations, photos and graphics which is created by applying the same collage ideas to provide a visual companion for the audio experience.

These are my own definitions.

Meanwhile…

I’ve received some nice photos of Redbot from some people, but haven’t posted them yet… sorry about that, but I need to re-do my photo submission process (that’s a whole other story I won’t go into here…)

It’s on my “to-do” list, and as soon as I’ve finished to-doing it I’ll let you know. These post-holiday times are good for clean-up projects like that…
