I started work­ing on Red­bot last Fall (2008) and now he’s pow­ered up and ready to roll…

What is Redbot?

Red­bot Loves You! is a pub­lic par­tic­i­pa­tion art project in the spirit of street art that is remov­able and collectible.

I love pub­lic per­sonal expres­sion, but I also hate ugly graf­fiti tags.

Even though I believe that well-done sten­cil and sticker art make pub­lic spaces visu­ally inter­est­ing and off­set the com­mer­cial­iza­tion and adver­tis­ing that crowds our pub­lic vision-space, there are those that don’t think this way, and inevitably the art gets removed, cov­ered or erased — and that always costs some­body money.

Red­bot is my answer to this problem…

Red­bot is made of sticker paper on thin card­board with mag­nets on the back for easy place­ment and removal. Pub­lic expres­sion with­out the pub­lic cost of graffiti.

It’s easy, inex­pen­sive, fun and legal.

Red­bot Ethics

Red­bot is about love. Love includes gen­eros­ity, respect for oth­ers and the belief in doing what’s right…

Only place Red­bot in a pub­lic space — do not deface other peo­ples per­sonal prop­erty with Red­bot — do not place on stranger’s cars, build­ings, doors, desk, refrig­er­a­tor, etc with­out their permission.

That’s it — go for­ward in love!
